How Much do Things Cost in Mérida? A $10 Challenge!

In case you missed it on Facebook – here’s my first ever travel vlog! Yep, that’s my dorky self in an incredibly cheesy video I made along with Janet from Journalist on the Run…

We wanted to show you how much things cost in Mexico. So, we set out on a $10 challenge in Mérida to see how much we could buy with 200 Mexican pesos. The answer: a lot! Check out the vlog in all it’s cheesy glory below to see more.

Just to recap: that’s 200 pesos on one afternoon. Lunch, sightseeing, a museum, sweets, two beers, and a LOT of snacks – all for less than $10. We managed to do quite a few of the best things to do in Merida on a pretty tight budget, and had a really fun afternoon buying sweets, tasting chocolate, seeing the sights, and stuffing our faces.

I’d love to know what you think, so feel free to drop me a comment below. Unless your feedback is similar to my sister Jess’ comment that I “walk like a Teletubby” in this video. In which case kindly keep your thoughts to yourself!!!
