Apologies for the delay in publishing the ‘Top Ten’ for the Travel Photography Competition, decent wifi was pretty hard to come by in Bolivia! Thank you to everyone who entered – and commiserations to those who didn’t win, I wish I could have entered you all! There were some fantastic entries so it was really hard to choose a top ten. But, in no particular order, here they are! Please don’t forget to vote in the poll at the bottom – the entry with the most votes will win the fabulous Nikon bridge camera. NB – only one vote per person will be counted.
Nick Board – Prickly Pear, Sacred Valley Peru
“Whilst on a tour of Peru over Christmas we stayed for a while in the Sacred valley a beautiful part of the world, and where I took this shot.”
Jessica J. Hill – Grand Teton National Park
“When I returned from 18 months of teaching and traveling around Asia, I packed my belongings, my dog and a friend in my Nisaan Xterra and headed out to move from Oregon to Colorado, stopping in the middle to visit Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and nearby Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. This image was taken on a hike in the Tetons, which quickly won my heart as one of my favorite places in the USA for it’s stunning landscapes, abundant wildlife and breathtaking mountain views.”
“I took this photo while visiting one of my favourite places in England, Crantock Beach! The beach itself backs onto massive sand dunes and is absolutely beautiful :) This is the view straight out to sea of the famous Goose Rock, and while walking along it at sunset I spotted the opportunity to take this beauty!”
“Taken in Apataki, Tuamotus group, French Polynesia where I was sailing for 3 months. One of the most beautiful places on earth I´ve been to…The third catamaran (left to right) was the one I was sailing on.”
